MCOE Speech Contest Winners

AESD was well-represented at the MCOE Speech Contest Awards Ceremony this past week. Our District had two 1st place winners, one 2nd place winner, one 3rd place winner, and four honorable mentions. This is a testament to the hard work these students have put in to prepare, and also our staff who worked with them to be successful.

GATE Festival

On January 30th, over 270 third through eight grade GATE students had the chance to participate in a Build, Engineer, Invent festival. Lawrence Hall of Science brought this hands-on design challenge experience to the Atwater Community Center. Students had great fun exploring building in two and three dimensions while discovering the design properties involved in constructing giant structures, bridges, rockets, and more!

Chess Club is here!

We will be having Chess Club meetings on Wednesdays until February break.
