Engine 41 of Atwater City Fire Department visited our TO Kinder and 1st graders on October 25th. Students continue to expand their knowledge of community first responders.
Sheriff Warnke arrived by helicopter and addressed the entire student body of Thomas Olaeta Elementary school this past Monday, October 22 to kick off Red Ribbon Week. He urged the students to be drug free. His presentation made great impact on the student body.
RIGGS ambulance service came to visit our Kinder and 1st graders as they continue their learning about community service members. Students were permitted to climb throughout the ambulance and check everything out. It was a wonderful learning experience.
CHP Officers Zuniga and Tipler paid a visit to our Kinder and first grade Tigers the morning of October 15th. The students thoroughly enjoyed their presentation and learned a lot about our public safety systems. Thank you, Officer Zuniga and Officer Tipler!
All Thomas Olaeta Tigers participated in our annual school jog-a-thon to raise money for classroom field trips. Principal Steve Kuykendall joined in on the fun.
Atwater Elementary School District has been recognized by the state as an Exemplary School District. In addition, Elmer Wood has been recognized as a California Distinguished School. Both AESD and Elmer Wood were recognized for their efforts at a ceremony on Thursday, May 3, 2018.
